Trekking + Village Homestay
This experience is more than a usual trek. It is aimed at giving the mountain lovers a twin delight of trekking, as well as closely experiencing the village life through homestays. Your stay at the end of the day's trek will be with a native family in their traditional homes. This will give you an opprtunity to closely interact with local people and of course you get to eat delicious home made food. Also, as we move through the villages, you can have a personal insight into how people carry on their day to day activities in the village.

Transport from trek end point to Baijnath is included in cost.
Baijnath - Kandkosri- Barahan - Thati - Sansal - Baijnath
Day 1 Baijnath (~1000m) - Kandkosri(~1600 m ) (~5 hours trek)
We will receive you at Baijnath. Visit the ancient Shiv Mandir there, have breakfast, then proceed via a short road journey to the trail head and start the trek.
The gradient is easy and you will pass through a lot of Pine forested trails. Spend the evening with local folks in their traditional architecture houses made of stone, mud and wood; and relish homemade food cooked on traditional chullah.

Day 2 Village Stay
Explore, walk and hike through the village, gain a first hand experience of how life goes on in a traditional mountain village. Engage in the daily activities like farming, weaving, cooking etc with the locals and get a chance to interact with them and understand their lifestyle and culture. Also gives you a resting and acclimatization time for higher trek next day.

Day 3 Kandkosri - Barahan (~2400 m ) (~4 hours trek)
Post breakfast, we start the trek through Kandkosri village, passing through fields, oak forests and Braahni mata mandir. As you gain altitude you can see the wide valley below, grand Dhauladhar range, Binwa river. The view of mountains from top is awe inspiring. Bonfire at night.

Day 4 Barahan - Sansal (~1340m) (trek ~5 hours) . Sansal - Baijnath (by road, ~20 min)
If you want to explore around, you can go up further for a small half hour hike before starting the trek down to Sansal. Post breakfast we trek down to Kandkosri, have lunch, say goodbye to your village hosts and trek down further to Sansal. From here, we take road to Baijnath, and complete our trip.

For those willing extend homestay days, it can be done. Do let us know while registering if you need specific customization. Additional cost for extension/customization can be worked out depending upon on your specific requirements.

Reaching Trek Base - Baijnath
It is recommended to reach a day before trek for proper rest, energy and acclimatization. If you plan to start trekking same day as you reach, then reach as early in the morning as possible.

Delhi - Pathankot - Baijnath (Recommended option)
First you need to reach Pathankot. You can take a train till Pathankot(PTK) or Pathankot Cantt (PTKC). Almost all trains going to Jammu will halt at Pathankot Cantt. There are many overnight trains from Delhi to Pathankot. Journey time is 9 hours approximately and overnight journey is recommended to save daytime.

Pathankot to Baijnath
From Pathankot , it's ~ 4 hours by road to Baijnath. Bus/taxi are good options.

Usually participants coming by train prefer to gather at Pathankot and then share the taxi to Baijnath. Good option for both company and economy! We'll share the details once participants from all over are registered, so that people travelling from same region can travel together if they want to.

Delhi - Baijnath
Direct bus till Baijnath from ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Delhi ( Travel time 13 hrs approx ).
